Rentec Direct is pleased to announce that the 2022 Tech Mastery Scholarship is now open. The Tech Mastery Scholarship awards up to four $500 scholarships each year to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in tech.
The Tech Mastery Scholarship will be accepting applications for the 2022 scholarship until April 15, 2022.
The scholarship was founded by Rentec Direct in 2016 as a way to celebrate and encourage those who choose to pursue a career in the technology sector. Rentec Direct wants to honor the value of well-implemented technology, and recognize how a great software or tech idea can make lives easier and daily tasks far more efficient.
“We understand that the investment in knowledge pays the best dividends for the future,” explains Rentec Direct president, Nathan Miller. “Rentec wants to support the goals and dreams of future technology influencers and we found one of the best ways to do this is to encourage academic achievement through a scholarship program.
What is the Rentec Direct Tech Mastery Scholarship?
We are honored each year to foster a brighter future by supporting outstanding students who are pursuing an education in tech. That is why Rentec Direct founded the Tech Mastery Scholarship in 2016. This scholarship provides up to four $500 scholarships to outstanding college and graduate students pursuing an education in computer science or a closely related field. To date, each year we have awarded some amazing college and graduate students with this honor, and we have been pleased to continue this tradition.
Who is Eligible to Apply for the Scholarship?
The scholarship is open to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students, enrolled in a computer science degree program, or related field, at an accredited US university. High school seniors planning to attend an accredited university for Computer Science the following term are encouraged to apply.
To be considered, applicants must be in good standing and should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
One application is allowed per student per calendar year. Previous winners are welcome to reapply with a new essay, cover letter, and updated scholarship packet.
How Can Students Apply for the Tech Mastery Scholarship?
Applicants should submit an essay not to exceed 1000 words on the selected topic. Essays will be judged on the level of creativity, humor (we love to laugh), grammar, and content.
Interested applicants must turn in the required scholarship application material by April 15th, 2022. Recipients will be announced by June 1st, 2022.

Who Won Last Year?
Rentec Direct had a lot of worthy applicants in 2021! We are continually impressed at how many students have already achieved so much in the industry through academics and extracurricular activities. While our scholarship committee had a difficult task ahead of them, they were able to select some truly stellar applicants who had notable accomplishments.
