Thanks to your valuable feedback, we’ve made the recent enhancement even better by including streamlined communication with property owners. You can now connect with vendors, tenants, and owners via text messaging or email directly through work orders within your Rentec Direct software. 

These convenient communication options allow for prompt notifications of new maintenance requests and facilitate open communication throughout the duration of the work order. Additionally, owners can track the status of work orders in their Owner Portal, creating transparency between you and the owners and fostering trust and rapport while keeping them informed.

Text or Email Property Owners Through Work Orders

All Rentec Direct PM clients can now text or email vendors, tenants, and property owners from work orders.

Here’s How to Text or Email Property Owners Directly from Work Orders

In your Rentec Direct account:

  1. Access Work Orders
    1. On your Summary page, click on Open Work Orders or
    2. Click on Properties, then click on Work Orders
  2. Double-click on the Work Order
  3. Click on Message
  4. Hover over the Owner and click on the email or text icon
  5. Send Using will default to the selected method and can be changed if you choose
  6. Template
    1. Use the dropdown to select a template or select None to enter a custom message
  7. From – This information will default from the Maintenance Manager assigned to the property
  8. To will default to the email or number the message is being sent to
  9. Enter a Subject that will be easy to identify (like Maintenance Request or Work Order)
  10. Attachments can be added by clicking on Upload Files or Choose Files
  11. The Message will default from your selected tem,plate or enter your message here
  12. Click on Send Message
