The new product billing reports in Rentec Direct’s property management software give you itemized and summary accounts receivable reports. These new reports provide landlords and property managers with the necessary accounting tools to reconcile tenant invoicing.
Rentec Direct offers comprehensive rental management invoicing, including products and surcharges such as rent with pet fees, storage fees, regulatory state taxes, CAM charges, etc. The two new product billing reports, the Product Billing Statement and the Product Billing Summary, allow landlords and property managers to quickly create reports for products and surcharges that have been billed to tenants to help reconcile charges to tenants and income received.

The New Product Billing Reports Include:
- Product Billing Statement
- Individual transactions
- One or multiple products and services
- Defined timeframes or custom dates
- Reports by property/properties or Owner/s
- Product Billing Summary
- Monthly totals (rounded)
- One or multiple products and services
- Defined timeframes or custom dates in whole-month increments up to 12 months
- Reports by property/properties or owner/s
- An optional ledger to verify types of products and services included
Creating Product Billing Reports in Rentec Direct
Reports can be created to reflect individual transactions or as a summary using pre-defined timeframes such as monthly, quarterly, or yearly. These reports can also be refined with custom timeframes by property or owner.

How to Generate a Product Billing Report
The product billing reports, which include the Product Billing Summary and the Product Billing Statement, are available to clients using the newly Remodeled Reports and Reporting Features.
In your Rentec Direct account:
- Click on Reports
- Click on the NEW Remodeled Reports and New Reporting Features – Try it now! link
- Select the report you would like to create
Note:Click on the ⭐ to add the report to your list of Favorites at the top of the screen. To remove a report from the list, click on the ⭐again- Under Accounting, click on Product Billing Summary or
- Under Tenant, click on Product Billing Statement
- Indicate a Custom Report Period or use the dropdown to select one that is pre-defined
- Using the dropdowns, select the Owner/s or Property/Properties
- Select one product or use ctrl or shift to select multiple products
- Create a Report Name to help organize and retrieve your reports
- Check the Show Categories box to reflect a list of products included in the Product Billing Summary report
- Click on Submit
Pro Tips:
- In both reports, clicking on the Property will take you to the property ledger
- In the Product Billing Statement, clicking on the Expense will take you to the transaction details to make any necessary adjustments
